About Philly Style
Philly Style Hand Twisted Soft Pretzel Bakery has been serving the Philadelphia area since 2003. Owned and operated by the Rossi brothers, Anthony and Jim, Philly Style has pioneered the crave of freshly baked soft pretzels from the streets of Philadelphia to a mega-menu storefront location in Levittown, PA.
Anthony, a graduate of The Restaurant School of Philadelphia, has made a career in the food industry for over 25 years. Prior to opening Philly Style, Anthony was a successful restaurant owner in Quakertown, PA, and has managed the food department for a major supermarket chain. Anthony’s love and passion of the food industry has helped in the great success of Philly Style Soft Pretzel Bakery.
Jim, a graduate of Penn State University, has also made a career in food industry for the past 15 years. While studying at Penn State, Jim worked as the sous chef for the famous Nittany Lion Inn. After graduating, Jim worked in all facets of the restaurant industry, managing kitchens and designing menus. Jim’s artistic background has helped in the creations of many different specialty pretzels at the customer’s request.
Prior to opening, Anthony and Jim were searching for new niche in the food industry. When they were presented with the opportunity to open a soft pretzel bakery, they thought the idea was a little crazy. They often wondered if it was a possible venture to make a living selling Philly’s favorite snack in the suburbs of Philadelphia. After a year of searching for the best possible location, Anthony and Jim finally found their home in the great town of Levittown, PA.
Since opening their doors in 2003, Philly Style has been an immediate success. From perfecting the original soft-pretzel to creating the famous pretzel pockets (the original cheesesteak, ham & cheese, pork roll & cheese) and pretzel dogs, people of all ages have a variety from which to choose.
Whether a regular customer or a first-timer, Philly Style continues to put smiles on many faces of all ages!
